Oil in Uganda. All of a sudden, Kony 2012. Kony hasn't been in Uganada in 6 years. Invisible children makes millions off their -non-profit- organization. Military goes in and secures Uganda because of Kony 2012, even though Kony left years ago. What's the point in going over there? Ohwait.jpg, the oil. Starting to run out in Saudi Arabia, and that was the whole reason for the Iran war - the oil. It's always been about the damned oil, but this time the campaign supporters are the ones supplying the whole operation with their donations. It's really sad that they lied about this sort of thing too. Even the people in Uganda got mad when they saw the Kony 2012 video. If you don't already know, then you're a month late to the party. Get googling already.
As for the animation, it was quite fitting for the whole Kony 2012 campaign thing. Good job.
First off, let me say that I liked how it just jumped straight into the game. It gives you a feeling of uncertainty, which is nice for games like this where you have to watch yourself or you'll die. I also liked how well hidden the traps were. They actually made me think about where they might have been, and I found myself squinting at the screen in observation a number of times. The ending was also very well conceived, and unexpected.
On the downside, game mechanics were a bit flimsy when it came to the character movements, but with only 96 hours, the quality is definitely up to par. Also, I really wish the signs said something, even if it was just cryptic nonsense. It would have really added to the atmosphere.
All in all, a challenging game that will keep you guessing. Well done. :)
The whole epic battle concept has been realized and done many, many times before, so it didn't really stand out. I loaded the video expecting that I would be watching a generic battle scene where the hero engages the antagonist, starts to get beaten by him, and then eventually defeats the bad guy, and I got exactly that.
I liked the little bit of pre-story, except I felt like you could have been a bit more original with the bad guy's name other than just "God King". It made me chuckle at the simplicity in regards to the mood you had going rather than draw me into the little bit of story there was.
However, on the flipside, the drawings were nice, and you animated the battle scene well. It was all-in-all, decent.
Wow, I haven't ever seen a stoner game on Newgrounds before. This is great. The gameplay was very simple and relaxing, which is a good time-waster if you just wanna chill out. I enjoyed the music, and the sounds made when you collected the orbs. Sometimes, it even aligned itself as a 'beat' that went alongside the ambient music in the background. I found myself trying to time it right in order to make a cooler tune when the orbs really started rolling in. :P Also, the graphics were very well done, and added to the overall atmosphere of the game. It sort of reminds me of Flower for the PS3, where things appeared all wavy and breezy. Not the most action-packed, but certainly the most relaxing game I've played in a while. Great job on this, especially after completing what you have in only three weeks.
For all the people complaining about lack of action and complexity... why are you in the "Skill - Collect" section? Complaining about a lack of action or complexity from this game is like demanding hardcore, eye-popping gameplay from Tetris. It's not going to happen, and if it did, it'd be in another genre. I understand most of you followed here from the front page, but you should at least read the information before getting your mind set to expect something else.
Nice game you have here. It was well-made, and was extremely pleasing to the eyes. It was enjoyable, although a bit easy. I managed to get all 30 stars within the 20 minutes I played. Perhaps you could add an elite section for more skilled players?
One thing I didn't like, was the fact that my mouse kept going out of the screen when I had to shoot targets on the far sides of the area. I'm pretty sure there is a script that can keep your mouse inside the screen at all times, and it would have been nice to have that.
As for all the people below me(minus the OK screen guy), the targeting system is fine. Just be sure not to jerk the mouse at all when taking a shot. Obviously you're not going to jerk a gun when firing it. Brush up on your mouse skills, and try again before blaming the creator. Also, the special agents are all there. They are just hard to spot since they never appear in plain view. Try looking around a bit, and you will find them, I assure you.
Again, great game. I had fun playing it, and I hope that you add more challenges to this game, or make more of these in the future. :)
Aside from it being an enjoyable flash, it resembles people and the lives they live.
All people from the moment they are born, are taught to accept and serve society. Everyone goes to school, strives to get into university or college, tries to get a good job in order to support a family and live the "ideal life" that is sought after by everybody, retire after they cannot work anymore, and finally die. Then their kids repeat the cycle.
There is no difference. There is no originality. People are taught to think, act, and have the same belief systems as everyone else. However, people that oppose this and wish to live a different life are shunned, tossed out by society, and forced to live a terrible life until they die from the very society they decided not to take part in.
Our society doesn't like people who aren't drones and cannot work to earn the corporations the money and wealth they desire. To them, we are workers that they can exploit, and it's not something we should stand for.
A very good flash containing a very important message. Well done.
Great work on this flash. I agree with everyone below when they say that it has a resemblance to the old Wily Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons. I used to watch those all the time as a kid, and always wished they made more. Although this isn't Roadrunner and Wily Coyote, you still fulfilled that wish. :)
All in all, it was great and made me chuckle a couple times. Thanks for making and sharing it with us.
